Overview

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a scenic and relatively short trek in Nepal’s Annapurna region, making it perfect for those who desire a Himalayan experience without a lengthy commitment. Spanning 4-5 days, this trek is moderately challenging, suitable for individuals with a basic fitness level.

A standout feature of the trek is the breathtaking sunrise view from Poon Hill, showcasing panoramic vistas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, including iconic peaks like Annapurna I and Machapuchare (Fishtail). As you trek through lush rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and charming Gurung and Magar villages, you’ll enjoy a mix of stunning natural landscapes and cultural immersion.

The trek begins with travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara and progresses through Nayapul, Tikhedhunga or Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Tadapani, culminating in Ghandruk before returning to Pokhara. The best times to embark on this adventure are during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).
